Privacy Notice

WGH Agri, trading as Trailer Weigher, is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. This notice explains how we use information submitted through this website or sent to us directly.

Information we collect

When you register interest or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, farm or business name, county, trailer details, the number of trailers you operate, your enquiry type, your message and whether you chose to receive optional product marketing.

We also record submission times and relevant follow-up contact dates. Our service providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, and our form uses a hashed network identifier for short-lived anti-spam checks.

Why we use it

We use enquiry information to respond to you, assess interest in Trailer Weigher, plan product testing and launch activity, and maintain a record of relevant business enquiries. If you separately opt in to product marketing, we use your email address to send the updates you requested.

Our lawful basis

For an enquiry or request to register interest, we normally process your information because it is necessary to respond to your request and because we have a legitimate interest in managing genuine product enquiries and pre-launch demand. Where we send optional marketing based on the separate tick box, we rely on your consent.

Who we share information with

We use Cloudflare to host the website, protect the form with Turnstile and store enquiry records in D1. We use Resend to send enquiry notification emails to our inbox, and Apple iCloud Mail to receive and store our business email correspondence. These providers process information needed to deliver those services. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We normally retain pre-launch enquiry records, including their attached marketing preferences, for 24 calendar months after the last meaningful contact. The period starts when you submit the enquiry. Relevant later correspondence can update the recorded contact date; automated messages and routine marketing do not, by themselves, restart the period. We may delete information earlier when it is no longer needed.

Our enquiry database is checked daily for expired records. Records due for deletion are normally removed at the next daily check. Copies of notifications and correspondence in our email inbox are held separately and are subject to the same retention policy; deleting a database record does not automatically delete those email copies.

Our short-lived form-attempt records use a hashed identifier to help limit spam. Records older than 24 hours are cleared during form submissions and daily maintenance; because maintenance is periodic, a record may remain for up to about 48 hours under normal operation. Maintenance summaries contain counts and timestamps, not copies of your enquiry, and are kept for 90 days.

Information needed for a separate customer, accounting or legal purpose is handled under the retention requirements for that purpose rather than kept indefinitely as a pre-launch enquiry. Where needed to respect an unsubscribe request, we may retain a minimal suppression record separately from the original enquiry.

Provider recovery copies and service logs may remain for their limited retention periods after live records are removed. Access is restricted, and restored data must be checked for expired records and earlier erasure requests before being returned to normal use.

International processing

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where this occurs, we use providers and arrangements intended to provide appropriate safeguards for personal information.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis used. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Marketing

The marketing option on the Register Interest form is optional and is not pre-ticked. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.

Cookies and similar technology

The pre-launch website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile is used to protect the registration form from abuse. If our use of cookies or similar technology changes, this notice will be updated and any consent mechanism required at that time will be added.
